Ministry of Works & Transport
TTPost is pleased to partner with the Ministry of Works and Transport in this transformative UTURN project that will positively impact the lives of every citizen in Trinidad and Tobago. Through this collaborative effort, TTPost is helping to modernize a system that was burdened with inconvenience and much hassle. In the past, paying for a traffic ticket was a challenge and this inefficiency placed a considerable burden on the judicial system with thousands of traffic tickets being left unpaid.
An example of this would be a person living in Cedros being issued a traffic ticket while vacationing in Tobago. He or she is required to return to Tobago, visit the Magistrate Court, to pay their traffic ticket.
The good news is… that is about to change!
What is TTPost’s role in the project?
TTPost will provide two very critical functions to support the UTURN Project.
Firstly, TTPost will deliver citation notices, notifications of pending sanctions and any other official documents from the Ministry’s Traffic Enforcement Centre to recipients nationwide. This will be done via TTPost Couriers.
Secondly, TTPost will serve as a payment centre for citation notices or tickets. Twelve (12) approved and strategically located post shops are directly connected to the UTURN to facilitate payments. This will allow for greater convenience and ease of payments as these locations will accept Linx as well as cash; please see listing of locations and their addresses below.
We are happy to announce, that in the very near future, our valued customers can look forward to more approved locations, making payments via credit card, and through an online payment platform.
TTPOST supports the Transformation of the Licensing Division. In fact, there are many more initiatives to follow, and as a partner in change, TTPOST is excited to be a part of this journey. This collaboration facilitates the opportunity for continual innovation such as the implementation of a modern, track and trace system which is ongoing. This feature will allow for transparency and accountability in the delivery of citation notices; and Vehicle Certified Copies.
UTurn could not have come at a better time. This project will not only revolutionize the way we conduct business in Trinidad and Tobago, but will also change our road culture to save lives in the future.
